Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what NaijaLifeGame ("we", "us") collects when you use naijalifegame.com and the game, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the game needs to work and to stay safe. We do not sell your information.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, the name you give, your password (stored scrambled, never in readable form), and your email address if you add one.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, email address and name. We never see your Google password.
- Your city: the city name you type when asked. This is shown next to your name in chat. It is whatever you type; we do not track your location.
- Your play: your character, money, items, tasks, friends, position in the game city, and when you were last online.
- Messages: what you write in city chat and in private messages, and any reports and blocks you make.
- Payments: the pack or advert you bought, the amount, the time and a payment reference. Card and bank details are entered on Paystack's pages and never reach us.
- Technical details: your internet (IP) address, your device's time zone, and basic server logs.
Why we use it
- to run the game and save your progress;
- to let you chat with, message and find other players;
- to deliver what you buy and deal with payment problems;
- to send password reset emails when you ask for one;
- to keep the game safe: reviewing reports, stopping abuse, cheating and fake accounts;
- to understand how the game is used so we can improve it.
We rely on your agreement to our terms, on what is needed to give you the service, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the game safe and working.
What other players can see
Other players can see your username, your character, your city, your level, the profile photo, name and bio you choose to add, whether you are online, where your character is in the game city, what you write in city chat, and your place on the rich list. They cannot see your email address, real name, password or IP address.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us run the game, and only what each needs:
- Paystack, to take payments;
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google;
- Amazon Web Services, to send emails such as password resets;
- our hosting provider, where the game and its database run.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect players from harm. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Cookies and device storage
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your device also remembers a few preferences, such as your chosen song, sound settings and which panels you have hidden. Adverts on billboards are plain images and do not track you.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and play information for as long as your account exists. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your account details and messages within 30 days, except what we must keep by law or to deal with a dispute or abuse.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and similar laws, you can ask us to: tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, stop or limit how we use it, or give you a copy. You can also withdraw your agreement at any time by closing your account. To do any of these, email [email protected] from the address on your account, or with your username. We answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Age
The game is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child is using the game, tell us and we will close the account and delete its information.
Security
Passwords are stored scrambled, the site uses an encrypted connection, and access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use elsewhere.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do. For anything about your privacy, email [email protected]. See also our Terms of Use.
